Kentfield Fire Protection District Invites Applications for the Position of:

Minimum Qualifications: 

The following are required at time of appointment: 

Must be at least 18 years old at time of application 

Must possess and maintain current EMT Certificate 

Must possess a high school diploma or GED Certificate 

Must possess a current valid CDL, with the ability to obtain a Commercial Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within six months from date of hire, and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment 

Must possess certification of successful completion of California State Fire Marshal approved Firefighter One curriculum 

Must have completed an additional fifteen college units in addition to FF1 and EMT 

Have a valid CPAT, completed within one year prior to application 

Must not use tobacco products. Kentfield Fire District maintains a no tobacco use policy 

Job Description: 

Under the direct supervision of a Fire Captain, the Firefighter performs a variety of duties involving fire suppression, emergency response, protection of life and property, fire prevention, and other related activities.
